BEAUTYISTANBUL 2026: Packaging Preparation Lessons

BEAUTYISTANBUL 2026 took place on 7–9 May at Tüyap Fair Center in Istanbul. Looking back at the event provides a useful planning framework for cosmetics, beauty and private-label teams preparing for future buyer meetings. This article is a post-event resource. It does not state or imply that Furkan Ofset exhibited, attended, sponsored the show or delivered materials to the venue. The organiser currently lists 3–5 June 2027 for the next edition, which should be covered through a separate, newly approved page rather than by changing this 2026 recap.

Turn the meeting objective into a packaging brief

A fair conversation is short, so every item presented should have a defined role. Before selecting samples or ordering printed material, identify the people the team expects to meet and the decision each conversation should advance. A brand owner may want to compare structure and finish. A contract manufacturer may need accurate dimensions and an efficient artwork route. A procurement team may focus on quantity, market, timing and repeatability.

Create a short brief for each priority audience. Record the product category, primary-container format, outer-pack requirement, intended market, approximate quantity, artwork status and decision deadline. This makes it easier to choose relevant material and prevents a general catalogue from becoming the only response to every buyer question.

Build a compact, traceable meeting set

A practical set may combine a concise product sheet, an approved unbranded sample, a controlled digital destination and a Product Blueprint form. Each element should point to the same product family and use the same terminology. If a sample demonstrates only a board, closure or finish, label its purpose clearly; do not present it as a completed customer project or as proof that every option is available.

QR codes and links should lead to maintained pages in the visitor’s language. Test them from the final printed piece rather than only from an artwork screen. Check that the page opens quickly, explains the next step and does not redirect an English-language buyer to Turkish content. A named owner should be responsible for keeping each destination available during and after the event.

Give multilingual artwork its own approval stage

Translation is only one part of multilingual production. Product names, approved descriptions, symbols, barcode areas and required market information still need to fit the dieline. English, French, Russian and Arabic can differ significantly in length and direction, so replacing copy at the end of the process can damage hierarchy or legibility.

Use one controlled source file and assign approval owners for technical content, language and final artwork. Review copy on the actual panel, not in a separate document. Where a statement concerns compliance, ingredients or destination-market requirements, approval must come from the brand or its responsible regulatory owner. The packaging supplier should not be positioned as the legal authority unless that role is documented.

Capture what is needed for a useful follow-up

Meeting notes become valuable when they describe the next production decision. Record the exact product or sample discussed, contact permission, primary-container dimensions, target market, expected quantity, desired timing and missing files. A photograph alone is rarely enough for a reliable technical review. If dimensions, artwork or approved wording are absent, say what is needed instead of making an immediate production promise.

Follow up with the relevant reference and a short list of open questions. Separate early exploration from a quote-ready request. This approach helps the buyer understand why a dieline, physical sample or proof stage may be needed and gives the production team a consistent handover.

Prepare for the next opportunity without rewriting history

The strongest lesson from BEAUTYISTANBUL 2026 is operational: connect every meeting asset to a specific buyer need, a controlled source and an agreed next action. Retain the 2026 page as a dated resource. Any future-event content should be created from current organiser information and should avoid claims about participation, stands, delivery or audience figures unless separately verified.
